Below are 5 steps that would help enhance your intercultural communication skills:
 
Step 1: Necessary to understand clearly their language.
Certainly English is a widely spoken language in the world but in as much as a lot of people speak English, there are still differences in meanings to similar words and movement of the body that expresses an idea or emotion, gesticulation.


Step 2: Make it a point to learn something about the individuals of diverse cultures you encounter.


Step 3: Avoid all jokes especially about sex, race, believes and religion. You will never know what that could be interpreted into.


Step4: Listen carefully. Understand before you respond to any communication.


Step 5: Show good manners at all times. Being well-mannered is universal and is appreciated by all.
