Nowadays, all countries on over world are opening to integrate and cooperate. Relationships between outsides and host are cohesive and mutual each other. In order to achieve successful communication, process of basic language skills, job skills, practical or technical skills and social skills is important and necessary because that connects people and form the initiation of conservations.
When people want to establish a new relationship, they usually find something which is similar to them. The reason is that they think similarities can approach others easily.According to Duck and Barnes (1992), the process of discovering identical traits is crucial in developing relationships. Irwin Altman and Dalmas Taylor (1973, 1987) argue that interpersonal closeness proceeds in a gradual and orderly fashion from superficial to intimate levels of exchange. It means that a deeply relationship is not available naturally, it have to experience communication so that they can understand and trust each other. Basing on Taylor and Altman (1975), almost people do not want to be at a disadvantage with others, therefore, they are likely to find their satisfaction in those intercultural relationships where the costs is lower that the benefits. Although the trend of relationships’ formation is similarities in personality, hobbies or something like that, they always expect their benefits above.
However, in the fact, people should establish the relationship basing on both similarities and differences. This creates the balance in the relationships. When people approach a country or a culture, they do not require the same for their ones. Thus, they have to seek the ways by themselves so that they can communicate and create a new intercultural relationship. LaGaipa (1987) said that intercultural relationships might show surprising opportunities for new experiences and to learn new ways of looking at the world.
The lack of communication skills tends to appear many problems and difficulties in establishing the relationships. It could be low self-esteem, low morale, social isolation and dissatisfaction with life in the host culture, said Berry (1990) and Dyal&Dyal (19981).

In conclusion, it is not easy to build intercultural relationships, especially a new environment with different culture since it depends on intercultural effectiveness and cross-cultural competences. Hence, people can raise the relationships in many special cultures through communication.
