Actually, in order to help us understand more the current state of globaliztion, Moran and Riesenberger delineate three phases that illustrate the market shifts that have emerged over past 65 years:
- Phase one ( 1945-1975) : high demand and growth led to focus on economy of scale and a rising standard of living .. there are more raw materials, quantity, capital..
- Phase 2 (1975- 1985) : increase in production that in turn led to an eventual surplus in many industris, Focus on Quality or low cost and technical advances
- Phase 3 (1985 -2000) : strategic alliances increased. this period created volatile change as globalism has come to dominate international bussiness.

=>> along with an increase in globalism, cosmopolitanism and cultural synergy become distinguish characteristics of the new emerging work culture and key concepts affecting the interactional dynamics of multicultural organization.
