Depending on special jobs and a result from contradictions, the conflict can be seen as an advantage or a disadvantage. Hence, the conflict is usually divided by a useful conflict and a harmful conflict.


Useful conflict
This conflict originates in a divergence of different abilities in the workplace. It means that if the abilities of employees are not equal, so someone is rewarded while others are not. This situation arises a desire of success among the employees and making them never stop trying; As a result, they dedicate the best to work in order to show their abilities, especially, inspiring their creativity and work methods. It is clear that this is very profitable for the companies. Besides, thanks to the “working-competition”, the manager can realize the true competence of each staff to put them in the suitable position.

Harmful conflict
This conflict is more common in the office. It can appear when the employees are not so harmony with others in terms of the work method or even the personal sentiment. If the conflict increases, it will be seen as an emergency situation. This is because they spend all the time to keep inquisitive eyes each other and trying to beat competitors down. The manager cannot solve these inside problems because of the fact that the staffs, who have the contradiction, usually achieve silently efficient self-experience instead of sharing to everybody; therefore, the power of team-work is reduced remarkably; This problem negatively influences the business of company.
In order to deal with the conflict in the office, there are the 3 most popular strategies; they are win- lose, lose – lose and win – win methods.
 Win – lose strategy
The inside trick is making one side yield to the other. This is applied when the conflict has been happened, but opposite groups cannot solve the trouble; even it blocks the development of the business.

Lose – lose strategy
It means that the manager has enough power and influence to makes all sides receive nothing or lose their benefits if the conflict occurs. The employees are forced to work together in peace.
Win – win strategy
This strategy finds a keen intelligence from the intermediary. They have to find out the similar points of the opposite groups in order to create the connection between them; consequently, the groups would gain common things to solve the contradiction.
Obviously, if the manager or the leader can understand the abilities as well as personality of each member in the team, it can restrict the conflict. In addition, the employees also have to realize that solving the contradiction is the best way to share and deal with difficulties in the company.
